Tonight marks my very first end-of-month fundraising deadline since becoming chair of the DNC, and in a moment, I’m going to ask if you can make a contribution to help us reach our goal. But first, I want to give you a quick update on the DNC’s work, and explain why your support is so valuable right now.

I firmly believe that it’s time for Democrats to show up in all 3,244 American counties — red, purple, blue — and have tough but honest conversations with voters. It’s important to do it now, with momentum on our side and people ready to fight.

That’s why I’ve already started traveling the country, meeting voters and engaging with Democrats in places like Pennsylvania, Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, New York, and Missouri in just one week.

Donald Trump is already failing the American people. If we’re not out there making that case to voters now, when the stakes are this high, then no one’s going to believe that we’re going to fight for them once we’re back in power.

In the last few days, I’ve knocked on doors for candidates running in special elections, I’ve held conversations with labor leaders, spoken with people who are suffering under Trump’s reckless agenda, and visited state parties that are on the frontlines of organizing communities that Democrats need in order to win. Here’s my biggest takeaway:

People are just plain angry about Donald Trump and Elon Musk. They’re worried about rising costs. They’re shaking their heads at the incompetence. And they’re pissed about him targeting their families and their communities. They want to see Democrats take the gloves off and fight back. That’s exactly what we’re going to do.

This moment requires a Democratic Party that can truly mobilize against Trump and Musk, while building what I call the political infrastructure we need in the long-term — to compete everywhere, win key races this year, win back Congress in 2026, and the White House in 2028.
