We were supposed to send you an email asking to help us reach our first monthly fundraising goal. Instead, we want to ask you to support a fund that’s helping people protesting Floyd George’s brutal murder at the hands of police.

We talked to our friends in Minneapolis and they recommended this organization as the one to support. The Minnesota Freedom Fund "pays criminal bail and immigration bond for those who cannot afford to as we seek to end discriminatory, coercive, and oppressive jailing."

Systemic racism is killing Black people in our country, and there is often no penalty for their murder. Eric Garner was murdered. Laquan McDonald was shot. Sandra Bland was wrongly arrested and died in jail. Botham Jean was shot and killed in his home. Ahmaud Arbery was murdered while jogging. There are many more Black Americans who have lost their lives because of the inequity in our country.

Be fed up with these injustices. Challenge racism when you see it. Support Black leaders. Fight for policies that lift up Black Americans.
