The trauma to Apollo’s foot meant his entire leg had to be surgically amputated. Along with providing that vital support, we incentivized the community to come forward with any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator. We are taking similar, impactful action in other cases of disturbing and lethal cruelty to cats. But we won’t stop there. Alley Cat Allies will continue to seek justice and advocate for the strongest penalties under the law for acts of cruelty. Arresting, convicting, and sentencing perpetrators to years of jail time, and other measures that limit their access to animals, sets a critical precedent for the entire country and a deterrent against future cruelty.
