Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administrator, Lee Zeldin, recently urged Trump to take the unprecedented, reckless and unlawful steps to reverse a science-based EPA finding that we all know to be true: climate pollution threatens public health and welfare. 

At issue is the EPA's bedrock, determination that climate pollution harms human health. First adopted in 2009 and supported by mountains of scientific evidence, this finding supports and requires EPA to take action to protect people from climate pollution. Administrator Zeldin and the Trump administration’s reckless and unlawful decision to reverse it must be stopped.

Without strong EPA climate pollution safeguards, communities across the U.S. will face even more severe threats from the dangerous impacts of climate change, including harmful air quality, intensifying heat waves and worsening extreme weather events like storms and floods.

Lee Zeldin claims he wants to “leave science to the scientists” and is committed to “honoring our obligations under the law” to protect clean air and water. But his actions contradict everything he testified to during his Senate confirmation hearings and would increase pollution and harm Americans across the country.
