John, it's Andy, the Executive Director of the Kansas Democratic Party. In case you missed it, last Thursday Elon Musk was wielding a chainsaw at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). It was unfortunately a perfect image for the destruction he (an unelected billionaire) is bringing to Kansas families and our country.

Firing tens of thousands of American workers, including Kansans Folks that work hard to take care of our environment, serve our veterans, keep our airlines safe, manage the nuclear stockpile, and more, were laid off with no warning—at the direction of an unelected billionaire (Musk) and an entity (DOGE) with no oversight.

Cutting programs that support Kansans With new tariffs and dismantling programs like USAID, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and National Institutes of Health, the Musk/Trump administration is putting Kansas farmers’, families’, and students’, livelihoods at risk.


Access to personal, private data The “DOGE” team has accessed Americans’ personal financial, health, and other data records. This level of access is unprecedented, especially for an unaccountable, inexperienced entity of which we still know little about.

John, this is a complete attack on the working-class families that keep our state running, and Kansas Republicans are doing nothing to defend them.


It's clear that something needs to change—and that change starts with us.

We need to send a clear message to Republicans standing idly by that what Musk-Trump are doing is unacceptable. That means holding them accountable and starting the work now to elect Democrats at every level in 2025 and 2026. Today, will you chip in to support our efforts to elect people-first candidates?
