Hey friend,

I’ve heard from a lot of folks in my district about how frustrated they are right now.

I completely understand that feeling. I really do.

Just recently, I was on my way to present federal funding we secured for mental health services at a local nonprofit. We planned a press event to celebrate the announcement, only for the funds to be frozen at the last minute.

Since then, other organizations have called worried they’d be next for funding freezes – especially since I (a Democrat) helped secure those funds. So instead of letting the moment slip away, we turned it into an opportunity.

We held a press conference with local outlets to highlight exactly what’s happening in our district. We made sure people knew what the delays mean for mental health clinics, veterans, police officers, and firefighters. Midwesterners need to know we’re delivering for them – and when we’re not, understanding who is to blame.

Without the Midwest and swing districts like mine, Democrats will not be able to hold off the worst MAGA impulses. Right now, over-communicating is critical, and we need to keep pushing our message amidst the stream of misinformation.

I'm not going to scare you into supporting us, but I do hope you'll send in a donation of $3 or more to help us meet our February goal. We can’t wait until next November to keep our district informed, and your support helps us do exactly that. [[link removed]]
