** "The American public delivered a resounding Trump mandate, and the EPA will do our part to help unleash energy dominance and Power the Great American Comeback."

Another step forward in fighting the war on gas bans.

** Just The News ([link removed])
(2/27/25) reports: "In its final days, the Biden administration pushed through a ban on many types of gas-powered water heaters. The House Thursday passed a resolution nullifying the rule. House Joint Resolution 20 passed 221-198. No Republicans opposed the measure, and 11 Democrats sided with the GOP on the issue. 'Shameful regulations like these not only limit consumer freedom and choice, but they also almost always hit low-income and elderly Americans the hardest. I am pleased to see House members prioritized this repeal and are continuing to put the American people first. I look forward to seeing the Senate taking the same actions,' Tom Pyle, president of the American Energy Alliance, said in a statement. President Donald Trump had issued a statement Monday supporting the measure, which was introduced by Rep. Gary Palmer, R-Ala., and said he would sign it if it reaches his desk...The resolution was introduced under the Congressional Review Act, which allows Congress to block finalized
federal regulations."

This is what good governance looks like.

(2/26/25) reports: "In a major announcement just made on X, Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe has declared that effective immediately, all pipeline permits received in Saskatchewan will be considered pre-approved, and that he encourages other governments to do the same. It’s a very bold move to address the current tariff threats facing our country, and is clearly a move targeted at the enormous regulatory burdens that have been heaped upon energy infrastructure providers over the last decade. Well done Premier Scott Moe!"

The party of phones and pens is now worried about precedent when a president takes action to help the American people.

** AP ([link removed])
(2/26/25) reports: "President Donald Trump began dismantling his predecessor’s climate change and renewable energy policies on his first day in office, declaring a national energy emergency to speed up fossil fuel development – a policy he has summed up as 'drill, baby, drill.' The declaration calls on the federal government to make it easier for companies to build oil and gas projects, in part by weakening environmental reviews, with the goal of lowering prices and selling to international markets. Democrats say that’s a sham...'It would also set a horrible precedent, that a president of either party can invent a sham emergency and then grab away from Congress powers that Congress has' in the Constitution, said Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia. Kaine spoke Wednesday in support of a Senate resolution from Democrats to terminate Trump’s declaration that later failed on a party-line 52-47 vote. Meanwhile, the Trump administration has already made the U.S. an even friendlier environment
for fossil fuels. Congress is helping, too, with the House voting to repeal a Biden administration-era methane fee on oil and gas producers."

BP = Back to Production

** BBC ([link removed])
(2/26/25) reports: "BP has announced it will cut its renewable energy investments and instead focus on increasing oil and gas production. The energy giant revealed the shift in strategy on Wednesday following pressure from some investors unhappy its profits and share price have been lower than its rivals. BP said it would increase its investments in oil and gas by about 20% to $10bn (£7.9bn) a year, while decreasing previously planned funding for renewables by more than $5bn (£3.9bn). The move comes as rivals Shell and Norwegian company Equinor have also scaled back plans to invest in green energy and US President Donald Trump's 'drill baby drill' comments have encouraged investment in fossil fuels. Murray Auchincloss, BP's chief executive, said the energy giant had gone 'too far, too fast' in the transition away from fossil fuels, and that its faith in green energy was 'misplaced.'"
