How the election calendar for June 2 has changed

Voters will be deciding presidential, congressional or statewide primaries or local elections in 12 states and Washington, D.C., on June 2. But the election calendar as it existed before the coronavirus outbreak was significantly different. While 5 of the 6 jurisdictions who had elections scheduled for June 2nd are still having them on that day, the day will also include several elections which were initially scheduled for earlier in the year and had been post-poned due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Appeals court blocks Ohio initiative campaigns from using e-signatures allowed by prior district court ruling

On May 26, a three-judge panel on the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals stayed a decision by U.S. District Judge Edmund Sargus. The panel's temporary ruling means the state does not have to accept electronic signatures while the appeal is ongoing. Judge Sargus had previously ordered Ohio to accept electronic signatures from two statewide initiative campaigns and several local ones.

Among the major-party national committees, the Republican National Committee (RNC) outraised the Democratic National Committee (DNC) by nearly two-to-one last month. The RNC raised $27.1 million and spent $27.0 million to the DNC's $15.3 million in fundraising and $10.7 million in spending. So far in the 2020 cycle, the RNC has raised $345.7 million to the DNC's $161.9 million.
