Legislative Update
Dear Neighbors,
It has been a busy couple of weeks at the Capitol with committee hearings, floor sessions, and numerous meetings. House Republicans have been actively working on a variety of issues, bringing important bills to the House floor and advocating for policies that support our communities. Amidst the legislative work, I have also had the opportunity to meet with many constituents and local leaders to discuss the priorities and concerns that matter most to you.
Last week, I had a great discussion with Brian Dietz, Superintendent of Chisago Lakes Schools, about the ongoing needs in our district’s schools. We talked about the importance of investing in education, ensuring our teachers and staff have the resources they need, and providing our students with the best opportunities to succeed. Supporting our schools remains one of my top priorities, and I appreciated the chance to hear directly from Brian about the challenges and opportunities facing our district.
I also had the pleasure of meeting with Carla, Karen, and Laura from the East Central Library. Libraries play a vital role in our communities, providing access to education, technology, and resources for people of all ages. It was great to hear about the work they’re doing to serve our region and discuss ways we can continue to support our local libraries.

One of the highlights of the week was the Minnesota Association of Nurse Anesthetists event at the Capitol. I even had the unique experience of trying my hand at intubation! It was a great opportunity to learn more about the critical work nurse anesthetists do every day to provide quality healthcare across our state.

I also met with representatives from the Minnesota Nurses Association to discuss key issues affecting nurses and the healthcare industry.

In addition to these meetings, we had a special guest at the Capitol for Zoo Day! We had a friendly visitor even stopped by our committee meeting.

Every week, I remain committed to working hard for our communities—fighting for policies that ensure a better future for all Minnesotans. Looking forward to another productive week ahead!
