SUBJECT: Will you take action today, Friend?

During the last Trump presidency, his administration pushed harsher penalties for drugs. And we expect him to do it again. He’s already called for the death penalty for people who sell drugs—a dangerous approach that will likely lead to more suffering and chaos.
We all know what happened last time: Overdose deaths drastically increased, and families across the country lost their loved ones. Those numbers only started coming down last year, but Trump’s policies could send them right back where they were.
That’s unacceptable and you know it.
These outcomes remind us why our work is so crucial—and why we need to defend the progress we’ve made while pushing even harder for real reform.
Friend, it’s time to protect our communities at all costs. Join the fight today and your support will be triple-matched to fuel our fight to end the drug war.

It doesn’t matter how often opponents of reform push for outdated and punitive approaches. Their policies will fail to help us, because they always have, and they always will.
But our community knows what works. And we’re going to raise our voices like never before to demand the evidence-based treatment and support services people need, not more arrests and punishments.
We won’t let anything stop us when it comes to ending the drug war. I hope you’ll continue fighting by our side, especially right now.
