Good morning Democrats,
Indian River County has launched another traffic stop operation targeting undocumented immigrants after Donald Trump and Florida Republicans passed costly immigration laws that target immigrants, force Dreamers out of college, and spread fear. These measures won’t solve immigration but will separate families and burden communities. Immigration is a federal issue, and real solutions must come from Washington, D.C. We need reforms that protect the economy, keep families together, and create legal pathways for responsible migrants.
Meanwhile, April special elections are giving Florida Democrats a chance to organize for the future, even in deep red districts, by ensuring Republicans face opposition. Every Floridian deserves a choice at the ballot box, and our candidates will hold Republicans accountable for their failures on affordability and bad policies. Join our Wednesday phone banking events below to support this effort.
Also, don't hesitate in requesting your mail-in-ballot from the Supervisor of Elections. All requests expired January 1 so every Indian River Democrat must now re-enroll to receive a vote-by-mail ballot.

Second Traffic Operation Targets Undocumented Immigrants
Recent traffic stop operations in Indian River County raise concerns about detaining passengers who haven’t committed crimes. While law enforcement justifies these actions as targeting criminal activity, many detained individuals had no significant criminal history and faced only minor charges.

"Share Your Story" with House Democrats
Since January 20, actions by Trump, Musk, and Republicans have resulted in the firing of key civil servants, impacting public safety, small businesses, and those who depend on government services. House Democrats are fighting back in Congress, the courts, and communities to protect hardworking Americans. Share your stories with Leader Jeffries to help strengthen the fight.

Help Tie the U.S. House
There are 218 Republicans and 215 Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives. This narrow GOP majority can be eliminated and the House could be tied if Democrats win three upcoming special elections. Here are the multiple ways you can support these three key races.
