Zach Huntington, will be our speaker. Zach is an experienced environmental researcher and analyst with a background in communication and the impact of plastic pollution on people and the planet. ?He previously worked for Clean Fairfax, and Litter Free Virginia.

Zach will share current research from Clean Virginia Waterways and the effort to update the Virginia Marine Debris Reduction Plan. He will provide updates about plastics and waste related legislation from the 2025 General Assembly. In addition, Zach will share his insights on the future of plastics, plastic pollution, and marine debris in Virginia and strategies of how we can work together to reduce the flow of plastic and other solid waste into Virginia's waterways.
