Did you see this, John? The absurdity and cruelty just never ends...

First, Donald Trump came to California and said that we would have to restrict voting rights in order to get relief.

Then, Republicans announced their plan to condition aid on rolling back policies that address the threat of global climate change.

Now, Donald Trump’s special envoy made a major speech at one of the largest conservative political conferences, repeating and reiterating that “strings” will be added to ANY California aid.

This is cruel and stupid, John. The needs of wildfire survivors and first responders should be front and center. This shouldn’t be political. Thankfully, our Democratic Congressional Delegation has three more members than last year. Those members are working right now, fighting to deliver real relief and opposing any strings. Will you rush a donation right now to help them in this fight?

Are you wondering what these so-called “strings” are exactly? Well, here’s a recap of some of the conditions that Donald Trump and his allies have suggested so far:

1️⃣ Demanding that California loosen our clean air standards and repeal pro-electric vehicle policies;

2️⃣ Forcing us to defund the California Coastal Commission;

3️⃣ Ordering that we roll back voting rights in our state.

Our California Strong leaders in Washington and here in our state aren’t rolling over or backing down without a fight. But Donald Trump has started focusing his ire on states that don’t bend to his will, so we need to be ready for him to throw everything at us. That’s what we have to ask:
