Dear John,
We are excited to announce the launch of our latest initiative to track President Trump’s executive orders (EOs) and provide the American Muslim community with clear, accessible breakdowns. This effort builds on our recent project monitoring and assessing his nominations and appointments before taking office.
Since taking office, President Trump has made it clear that he is not fulfilling his campaign trail promises of working with the Muslim community — including American Muslims, and those seeking legal paths to citizenship. Since January 20, 2025, Trump has published a slew of orders pertaining to the rights of American Muslims, including limiting free speech, restricting foreign aid to Gaza, and introducing deeper risk for deportations of legal immigrants.
American Muslims, and those engaging legally with the immigration process should be knowledgeable about the executive orders coming out of the Oval Office, and be equipped to advocate for their rights. With the sheer volume of EOs that have been released, it is easy to lose sight of the details, or miss important information pertaining to Muslims across the world.
As a result, we are committed to being a resource for the American Muslim community to utilize when wanting to understand the executive orders pertaining to our community. This is why we are expanding on our
Tracking and Transparency: Monitoring the Impact of Government Appointees on American Muslims project, and launching our new Month in Review: Understanding President Trump’s Executive Orders project. This platform will empower you to stay informed, vigilant, and take action.
What We’re Doing:
* Tracking and Monitoring: We are tracking the executive orders coming out of the White House and will draw attention to those relevant to the broad Muslim community.
* Policy Analysis: Our team will assess how and which executive orders pertain to the Muslim community, and provide an easily digestible breakdown with implications for the community.
* Media Campaign: We will launch a media campaign breaking down relevant executive orders, calling on community members to reject President Trump’s harmful rhetoric and prevent further action from being taken.
