Thanks to Orbis supporters, this bright 13-year-old from West Bengal, India, can see the chalkboard at school and read her favorite Hindi adventure stories at night.
Thakur developed strategies so her vision didn’t cause her too many problems; sitting close to the front at school and reading under a very bright light in the evenings.
But thanks to Orbis school screening projects, Thakur doesn’t need to worry about where she sits or how bright the light is—because she has the glasses she needs to see the world around her.
