 Sunday Deadline Approaches to Apply for LA Region Relief Funds
If you own a small business or nonprofit or worked at a business affected by the wind and wildfire disaster, apply for the LA Region Small Business and Worker Relief Funds before this Sunday's deadline. The Small Business Relief Fund provides direct relief through cash assistance grants up to $25,000 to small businesses and nonprofits who incurred structural loss, structural damage, equipment/inventory loss, or revenue loss because of the disaster. The Worker Relief Fund provides direct relief through cash assistance grants up to $2,000 to workers who lost employment or income because of the disaster. Apply Now for the LA County Household Relief Grant
The LA County Household Relief Grant provides immediate financial assistance to LA County residents who have been directly impacted by the Eaton and Palisades fire and windstorm events. This program bridges financial gaps and promotes the general welfare of affected households until insurance or government recovery resources become available. Applications are now open and the deadline to apply is Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Click here to submit your application.

CalFresh Recipients Can Apply for Lost Benefits by March 6
If you currently receive CalFresh benefits and have experienced a loss of food due to the fire emergency and power outages, LA County Department of Public Social Services encourages you to apply for a benefit replacement by completing a CF 303 Replacement or Disaster Supplemental Affidavit. You can submit the completed form in person at any DPSS District Office, online, by phone, or by mail. Your application must be received by the deadline of Thursday, March 6. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has completed debris removal on the first residential property to undergo Phase 2 cleanup operations. Read more here.
For those opting into the government-sponsored debris removal program, the online Right of Entry form is available here. The form also is available in Spanish, Russian, Armenian, Korean, and Simplified Chinese.

For those who opt-out: Property owners who choose to hire private contractors for fire debris removal can now receive a permit that allows home and business owners and their authorized private contractors to manage their own debris removal efforts while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental standards.
