More A52 closures coming up to allow works

QMC bridge

National Highways will be closing some roads overnight around the A52 QMC roundabout as part of ongoing bridge repair works next week.

The project is at the point where the damaged beam is ready to be removed and replaced, and the closure is for safety while that takes place.

It will be from 8pm to 6am on Monday 24 February, Tuesday 25 February and Wednesday 26 February. The closure will be of the northern quadrant of QMC roundabout between:


* the northbound entry slip road for Middleton Boulevard
* the top of the Middleton Boulevard southbound exit slip road

Diversion routes are here.  [ [link removed] ]National Highways has asked drivers to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys.

Meanwhile, safety and maintenance work starts on the A52 at Bottesford on Tuesday 25 February. The road will shut overnight in both directions between Saxondale and Barrowby from 8pm until 6am, Monday to Friday, until mid-April. Diversions via the A46 and A1. More here. [ [link removed] ]
