Providing Comfort to Women Heart Patients
The HeartScarves program continues to offer women with heart disease
or those who have had recent heart surgery with comfort and a symbol
that they're not alone. While there are current challenges with
distributing the homemade scarves to patients in the hospital,
WomenHeart can send them to patients once they're home. This
month, WomenHeart Champions got busy with their family, friends and
neighbors to craft and donate hundreds of new scarves. Our NHA member,
Charleston Area Medical Center, donated over 200 scarves! All scarves
are sanitized and packaged before being gifted to women. WomenHeart
continues to accept donations of hand-crafted scarves. Learn more
