Donald Trump’s reckless pardons for January 6th rioters were bad enough. Now, it’s even worse.
This week, the Department of Justice widened the scope of Trump’s pardons—not just for those who stormed the Capitol, but for criminals with separate gun and drug charges uncovered during the investigation.
Let’s be clear: Trump is letting violent offenders walk free:
Elias Costianes—a rioter caught inside the Capitol—was also convicted of illegal gun possession and drug trafficking. Trump’s pardon just set him loose.
Daniel Ball—who threw an explosive device at officers and has a long history of domestic violence—was still facing gun charges. Now, thanks to Trump, those charges are gone, too.
This isn’t law and order—it’s lawlessness. Trump is proving, once again, that he will always side with violent criminals if they serve his political agenda.
Americans deserve safety, accountability, and a leader who upholds justice—not a president who lets criminals off the hook. Our job is to use our microphone to demand accountability.
