We don't have to tell you how bad things are right now.

There's so much horrific news coming out of the Trump administration that it's nearly impossible to keep up. And that's by design.

The entire nation is being forced to suck on this fire hose of authoritarianism and right-wing chaos, but we don't back down, and we refuse to give in.

So here's the message that we want to make sure that you hear right now: Donald Trump can be stopped.

The American people did not vote to hand our freedoms, financial security, health, retirement benefits, and personal data to a cabal of billionaire gangsters. If we come together, speak out against injustice and corruption, organize together, and demand our voices be heard… we CAN end this nightmare.

But in order to fight back and win, the people need facts and analysis about what's going on in this diabolical moment in history. They need an independent news outlet unafraid to call bullshit on Trump's lies and shine a bright light on the massive destruction he's unleashing on the world.

That's what Common Dreams is committed to doing every day of this catastrophe, but with so much coming at us so fast, we need an urgent influx of resources to expand our capacity in this make-or-break moment.
