I was shocked when I learned that only 4% of Pennsylvania's electricity comes from renewable sources. I know, only four percent?!?

Two dozen states have set goals to get their power from 100% clean energy sources. If Pennsylvania doesn’t catch up, we’re going to miss out on clean energy manufacturing jobs and our communities will still be stuck with dirty power plants that pollute and contribute to chronic diseases.

That’s why our top goal this legislative session is to pass a law to get Pennsylvania to 35% clean energy by 2035. It’s attainable in our politically divided legislature, it will create good-paying union jobs, and it will lower our energy costs.

The problem is that clean energy isn’t the legislature’s top goal. So here’s our strategy – if we can get hundreds of messages into every lawmaker’s office, they will take notice. But I need your help to get their attention.

Climate change is wreaking havoc and destroying people’s lives. We’ll see more wildfires, more massive floods, and more deadly heat waves if we don’t transition to clean energy.

Transitioning the power we use so that 35% of our electricity comes from clean sources by 2035 will create thousands of good-paying jobs, lower energy bills, and improve the health of our communities.

This legislation will make a huge difference for Pennsylvanians in every corner of the state – but the fossil fuel CEOs don’t want this to pass. They’re using misinformation to stall progress and keep us hooked on volatile, expensive fracked gas. We can’t let them win.
