Weston–
Today, February 27th, marks the 16th anniversary of the very first nationwide tea party protests! Back in 2009, patriots who were fed up organized 48 demonstrations across the country, drawing more than 35,000 Americans who stood up for fiscal responsibility, individual liberty, and constitutionally limited government. I had the honor of organizing one of those events, and looking back now, I’m in awe of how our movement has grown and endured.
As we reflect on this milestone, I invite you to watch my personal video message and our commemorative video—perfect for sharing online with friends and family so they can celebrate with us as well. Finally, I hope you’ll take a moment to read my op-ed, where I share more about those early days and the remarkable progress we’ve made together.
Through every challenge, you and millions of fellow patriots have never wavered. Your dedication has kept our shared ideals at the forefront and helped shape the national conversation. You stayed strong, no matter how tough the fight became—even when the government was weaponized against anyone who dared to disagree with those in power. Now, with a true champion for our cause in the White House—one who wants to achieve the very goals we first rallied behind—our long-standing vision is finally within reach.
Today, as we honor sixteen years of tea party activism, let’s renew our commitment to personal freedom, economic freedom, and a debt free future. Thank you for fighting with us and leading the way—for every email you’ve sent, every phone call you’ve made, every minute you’ve given, every conversation you’ve sparked, and all the blood, sweat, and tears you’ve shed to support our mission.
