Republicans are going to try to cut Medicaid to pay for their tax cut for billionaires, and they are lying to you about it. Their vote this week proves it.

The ones who dare even address it say this is not true. But let me be clear: Their budget bill requires the House Energy and Commerce Committee to find $880 billion in spending cuts.

It’s just basic math here. The only budget item under their purview that comes close to achieving that is Medicare or Medicaid. Trump says Medicare is off the table, so there it is. Medicaid — the program that provides health insurance for 24% of Americans — will have to be slashed to fund their $880 billion giveaway to corporations and the ultra-wealthy.
