Dear John,
We can’t protect our environment and communities without having a healthy, representative democracy. And right now, our democracy is being threatened by power-hungry, pro-polluting politicians. Here are two actions you can take today to encourage our leaders to stand against such attacks.

Tell your legislators to oppose House Bill 127
House Bill 127 is the newest attack on voting rights in North Carolina. This bill would make it illegal for community members and organizations to help folks get registered to vote by prohibiting them from using real voter registration forms. This could have the greatest impact on underserved communities and people of color.

Thank you for taking the time to advocate for our democracy. Your actions make a difference.
Carrie Clark
P.s. We know it’s unusual to ask you to take 2 actions, but there is a concerted effort to undo the checks and balances of our democracy. While these are separate, your actions on both will help us protect our votes and thus our environment. Thank you!
