John,

Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, otherwise known as DOGE, has overreached so far, even its own employees are walking out.

On Tuesday, 21 civil servants forced into implementing Musk’s slash-and-burn agenda made a bold choice to resign in protest – saying that they didn’t want to use their skills to "jeopardize Americans’ sensitive data, or dismantle critical public services." [1]

They went on to say something that really resonates with us here at Issue One — and we’re sure it does for you too:

"We swore to serve the American people and uphold our oath to the Constitution across presidential administrations. However, it has become clear that we can no longer honor those commitments at the United States DOGE Service."

Come to think of it, another group also swore an oath to the Constitution and the American people, but aren’t standing up against DOGE’s overreach…

That’s right, as these brave civil servants take a stand, our elected leaders in Congress remain silent.

They have the power to stand up against the overreach and for the powers delegated to them under the Constitution. Tell them it’s time to step up and defend the Constitution.

Onward,

The Issue One Team
