At the end of this email, I’m going to ask you to chip in $3 toward our end-of-month fundraising deadline. I know you’ve heard a lot from me in recent days, but I hope you’ll let me explain why this request is so important.

As you know, we flipped this seat a few months ago, but it’s clear we need to focus on our re-election fight right now. In fact, I’m already on the receiving end of a barrage of attacks from both the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and a top GOP super PAC.

In other words, the race is on.

Don’t just take my word for it: The nonpartisan experts at the Cook Political Report have already ranked CA-27 as one of the most competitive 2026 races to watch.

It’s hard to think of anything but the near-hourly chaos coming from the White House. I’m working in Congress to fight back, but the best way to establish oversight on the Trump agenda is to win the House majority next year.

With so much going on in Washington, I have much less time to fundraise for re-election – which is why I need to ask: Can you pitch in today? $3 – or any amount you can afford – will make an immediate impact.
