Friends,

Sorry everyone — we were moving too fast and our links didn't work for everyone. Let's try this again.

An email from us with two opportunities!

PARTICIPATING IN THE FEBRUARY 28th BOYCOTT?

The February 28th Economic Boycott/Strike from major businesses is coming up! It's been organized (not by us) as a 24-hour economic blackout to protest corporate greed and companies like Target, Walmart, and Amazon that have rolled back their diversity, equity and inclusion efforts following President Donald Trump's efforts. You can see an organizer describe the boycott, which is to halt all spending at big businesses for one day.

There’s lots of energy around it. That action is, let's be clear, missing some crucial elements to maximize its impact. But there's energy — and that's something!

We teamed up with Build the Resistance to make a website where people can “check-in” to say they’re boycotting so we can get a sense of how many people joined!

On the site learn more about effective boycott design and get alerts when really good ones are coming up: Boycott Central: choosedemocracy.us/boycott-central/.

(Here is a share pack for folks interested in helping to promote.)

COMING UP! 2ND WORKSHOP TO LEARN ABOUT TAX RESISTANCE

We will host our second training to learn about tax resistance on Monday, March 3rd at 8pmEST. You can register for that workshop here. It will be hosted by the National War Tax Coordinating Committee.

If you aren't able to make it, you can get the basics about the premise in their Tax Resistance 101 video. Their website: https://nwtrcc.org/ has a lot of resources on the tactic for those who are ready to dive deeper.

We are grateful that there are so many folks out there like yourselves who are ready to learn about noncooperation tactics in these times. We have a lot to learn!

With gratitude,
Your Choose Democracy team
