A new bill was introduced into the Minnesota Legislature by Senator Steve Cwodzinski and Representative Alex Falconer to protect the Wilderness. The Boundary Waters Permanent Protection Bill prohibits sulfide-ore copper mining operations on State lands in the watershed of the Boundary Waters. This bill would protect the Wilderness from the threat of toxic mining pollution.
