As a member of the House Oversight Committee, it is my Constitutional duty to provide oversight, transparency, and accountability of the Federal government.

Nearly two dozen other members of the Oversight Committee and I were denied entry into the Treasury Department after we tried to investigate what Elon Musk and his operatives were doing accessing the private data of hundreds of millions of Americans.

Elon Musk is an unelected, unvetted, unqualified private citizen who is actively dismantling Federal agencies and government programs he has no jurisdiction over.

We then held a vote to subpoena Musk to bring him before the committee to testify about his actions — but Republicans blocked our efforts.
