2025 Grid Resiliency Request for Proposals Now Open
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy is offering funding for matching grants to accelerate investments in the electric grid and improve Michigan’s electric reliability and resilience, particularly in response to aging infrastructure.
A total of $9,313,204 is available through this Request for Proposals (RFP). Half of the funding will be allocated to large operators, and the other half will support small operators.
Grant Matching Requirements:
- Large operators (selling more than 4 Terawatt hours [TWh] of electricity per year): A minimum 100% match of the total requested grant funds is required.
- Small operators (selling less than 4 TWh of electricity per year): A minimum 33% match of the total requested grant funds is required.
Responses are due by April 30, 2025.
