John, I'm emailing for $5. I promise you, there's a very good reason why.

Our team recently launched our Vote-by-Mail Emergency Drive to fight back against Republican efforts to limit vote-by-mail in this election.

We set a goal of raising $250,000 -- but we're not taking any money from corporate PACs, so we won't make it unless we generate a LOT of individual donations before our May 31st deadline.

That's why I have to ask:

Will you chip in $5 -- or any amount you can afford -- to our Vote-By-Mail Emergency Drive before our May 31st deadline? Sara and I are counting on you in this moment.

$5 may not seem like a lot. But if enough people take that small step, we'll have the resources we need to launch a targeted, effective vote-by-mail operation in Maine ahead of the election.

And that will be essential for our victory -- because all the polls show that Sara Gideon is pulling ahead. If every Mainer is able to cast a ballot, we will win.
