SIGN NOW: Congress must REJECT the anti-voter “SAVE” Act >>
John, House Republicans want to make voting harder for you – no matter where you live. I need your help to stop them.
Here’s how their “SAVE” Act puts your vote at risk:
-
Prove your citizenship – again: Even if you’re a lifelong voter, if you move across town, change your last name when getting married, or switch parties, you’d have to provide your passport or birth certificate with your current legal name – in person at your local elections office – just to stay registered.
The House of Representatives may vote on this awful bill as soon as next week, so we must act NOW. Add your name to urge Congress to REJECT the “SAVE” Act and protect millions of American voters >>
The “SAVE” Act’s barriers could strip millions of eligible Americans of our right to vote – especially the 146 million Americans without passports and the 69 million American women whose birth certificates don’t match their married names. [1]
It’s a direct assault on our voting rights, targeting seniors, women, students, veterans, and rural voters the most.
That’s why, with your help, Common Cause has been fighting this dangerous bill since the GOP first introduced it. We stopped it last year – but with a newly emboldened administration with majorities in Congress, the fight just got tougher.
Right now, we’re mobilizing calls in 37 key swing districts to speak out against this bill – but no matter where you live, we need you in this fight.
If you agree we can’t let Congress roll back our voting rights, join me to demand Congress reject the “SAVE” Act.
Thanks for all you do,
Aaron Scherb, Senior Director of Legislative Affairs
and the team at Common Cause
