John,
I won’t sugarcoat it — this is serious.
The Department of Homeland Security has taken steps to abandon its fight against election disinformation by placing key employees on “administrative leave” from the group that has worked to stop foreign adversaries from interfering in our elections.
That leaves election officials like me with even more responsibility to stop the spread of lies and misinformation about voting.
We’re now the first — and maybe soon the only — line of defense.
The cost of doing nothing is too high. If we don’t push back against false claims:
⚠️ Foreign adversaries could spread lies with no meaningful national response.
⚠️ Trust in our election system could crumble even further.
We need to fight back — fast.
I’m asking for your help. Can you please chip in $25 or whatever you can today to help me combat disinformation and protect our democracy before our February fundraising deadline?
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed now. |
Without federal support, this work is even more urgent.
We’ve fought back against disinformation before — and won. But we can’t stop now.
You know me. You have my promise that I’ll always be on the side of democracy.
Your support today means we can keep leading with the truth, fight back against false election claims, and protect the right to vote. Chip in any amount before our February fundraising deadline now.
Thank you for standing with me,
Steve
