I spent an hour this morning browsing People’s World and reading many great articles, something I do every day.

They included an article by Ramzy Baroud discussing President Trump’s vile scheme to “ethnically cleanse” Gaza and transform the devastated Palestinian homeland into a Middle East “Riviera.”

Or Mark Gruenberg’s article about the Trump-Musk takeover of the U.S. Postal Service, a scheme to terminate vote-by-mail balloting that has sharply increased voter turnout rates here in Washington State.

Then my eye fell on a headline: “Leonard Peltier’s Release is a Milestone in Indigenous History.” Albert Bender, a member of the Cherokee Nation, an attorney, and a leader in the struggle for equality of the Indigenous people, wrote this gripping story about Peltier’s release.

The People’s World website referred me to an earlier Bender article about Peltier’s frame-up, which included the “hiding of a ballistics report that established that the bullets that killed the FBI agents were not from Peltier’s gun.”

These articles inform, surprise, and mobilize us! The truth in People’s World articles is like a cold drink of water for a wayfarer dying of thirst in the desert! This is especially true because many corporate media outlets are bowing to Trump, and the right-wing propaganda media is nearly becoming state media with favored status at the White House.
