Meta’s new policy changes will now allow slurs and other hate speech.

With Meta's new policies, you’ll likely come across slurs like this that Meta has told its moderators are now acceptable on their platforms.   

CCDH’s new report analyzed the key policy changes Meta announced in January which could halt content moderation on 97% of key policy areas & could allow more dehumanizing and dangerous speech on Instagram, Threads and Facebook not just in the US, but worldwide. 

This is a huge step backward.

With key protections gone, how will Meta keep people safe?  Meta is FAILING to adequately explain why they are making these policy changes that harm users & how they will be applied to Meta’s various platforms – leaving users in the dark.
