Hey, John. Just wanted to make sure you saw Amanda’s email.

When wildfires tore through Los Angeles, Jessica Caloza had just started her first term as a California state assembly member — and she immediately jumped into action.

Her team worked nonstop to get residents critical updates, and within days, she introduced two bills to provide emergency relief for families and small businesses.

Jessica’s story is exactly why we do this work — and why we need your help today. Tomorrow is the final deadline for our critical $20,000 end-of-month goal, and we need your help to reach it before it’s too late. Will you chip in $5 today to help us keep the momentum going and support the next wave of leaders like Jessica?

Thank you.

John, I know that you’re probably overwhelmed by all the chaos in the news right now — so I thought I’d share a story of hope with you today.

But before I do, I have to ask: Will you rush $5 toward our $20,000 end-of-month goal so that we can keep the good vibes coming?

Every dollar you give helps us recruit and elect incredible candidates like Run for Something alum Jessica Caloza, who shows up for her community every day.

When wildfires tore through Los Angeles, Jessica was just days into her first term as California state assembly member. And instead of settling in, Jessica sprung into action.

Her team worked around the clock to ensure residents had the most up-to-date information. She joined Mayor Karen Bass and other leaders in media briefings to keep the public informed. And within days, she introduced two bills: AB 262, providing immediate fire aid to families, and AB 265, offering grants to help small businesses and nonprofits rebuild.

THAT’S the kind of leadership our communities deserve — and what your support makes possible. Jessica’s story is proof that when we elect young, bold progressives to office, they get things done.

But we need to keep recruiting and supporting the next wave of leaders like Jessica. With our $20,000 end-of-month goal coming up fast, your support is critical. Can you chip in $5 or more to help us hit our goal and elect more incredible progressives?

Let’s keep the momentum going.
