As the world’s social and environmental challenges intensify, we all need to ensure our efforts deliver maximum impact. We need to share and build on what’s working, and pivot based on what’s not. Afterall, we’re stronger together.
That’s why Forum for the Future’s latest report, Reflecting on Impact, explores the difference being made as transitions in food, energy and the purpose of business gather pace.
It’s told from the unique perspectives of those at the heart of changemaking in three ground-breaking programmes: Growing our Future, the Climate & Health Coalition and the Responsible Energy Initiative.
Dive into the report for insights on how we and our partners are mainstreaming regenerative agriculture, driving action at the intersection of the climate and health crises, and ensuring a rights-respecting, socially just and ecologically safe transition to renewable energy in Asia.
The report explores:
How changemakers are taking individual and collective action to influence their organisation and wider system(s) they are part of.
Forum’s theory of change: how we work in both one-to-one partnerships and as part of cross-sector, multi-stakeholder collaborations towards a just and regenerative future.
How Forum’s unique blend of ‘practices’ (systemic diagnosis, futures, collaboration, innovation and storytelling) combine to equip people to drive change at scale and pace.
No one organisation working alone can turn the tide on the climate crisis, crashing biodiversity and worsening inequality. But together, we just might.
Businesses are operating in an increasingly complex landscape, but the urgency of climate action remains. Forum’s Business Spotlight campaign will explore how businesses can drive transformational change—moving beyond conventional ESG to build resilience and unlock long-term opportunities.
In March, we’ll showcase real-world examples of business transformation in action, drawing on insights from our Business Transformation Compass (BTC) 2.0 and our collaboration with the Bentley Environmental Foundation.
The Business Spotlight is one of three 'Spotlight' campaigns Forum will run in 2025, focusing on three pivotal transitions. Watch this space for Food and Energy Spotlights later in the year.
Meet the Bright Spots already making transformational change happen
What if finance was no longer a barrier for farmers in making positive changes?
Meet Ecosystem Services Market Consortium (ESMC), an organisation that compensates farmers and ranchers to improve the environment through their agricultural practices.
ESMC is the seventh Bright Spot showcased by Forum for the Future’s ongoing Future of Sustainability campaign, Reimagining the Way the World Works. Alongside our partners - the Earthshot Prize, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and Trane Technologies - we’re celebrating the initiatives demonstrating that transformational change is not only possible, but already here.
Powering people-centric renewable energy | Glimpses from the Responsible RE Summit 2025
The Responsible RE Summit 2025, hosted by the Responsible Energy Initiative India, brought together visionaries, industry leaders, and changemakers in New Delhi on February 25 to explore how renewable energy can be people-and planet-centric.
The event sparked meaningful conversations; a community story booth highlighted voices from the margins, a Future Inquiry invited bold ideas for the next decade, and installations showcased real-world models of fair benefit-sharing from the Global South.
Key discussions focused on scaling up AgriPV, making RE business models more people-centered, ensuring clean energy access, promoting circularity in RE, and exploring co-benefit and co-ownership models for utility-scale projects.
The textile and apparel sector faces an urgent need to tackle its huge ecological and social footprint. Technological solutions alone are insufficient. To address challenges, we need greater investment in understanding what makes solutions succeed or fail.
From 2023-2024, Forum for the Future brought together a cohort of 12 suppliers, manufacturers and brands across the fashion industry to collectively investigate the systemic barriers and opportunities for circularity in the fashion industry.
As a new US president takes office, we must strengthen our resolve to realise an equitable and inclusive future for all
