Dear John,

I asked my husband if I could write the second quarter letter to share with you our good news! We found out earlier this year that I am expecting our third child. Baby Edwards is due to arrive in October and we couldn’t be more excited! Making this year even more eventful for our family is the fact that James will turn 40 later this month!

I was a teenager when I first met my husband, who was then only 21 years old himself and had just launched an aggressive bid for a seat in the Tennessee State Legislature. Providence had other designs however and used that ambitious campaign for office to pave the way for a career in radio to begin. The rest is history.

I knew when I first met James that he was the kind of man I wanted to lead me – and our future family. We married in 2006, two years after he founded the radio program. I have had a front row seat throughout his career. James has been a passionate advocate for his entire adult life and has built something worthy of preservation.

It has been said that a person’s character is what is revealed under pressure. Their personality is merely the face they present when times are calm. Time and time again, I have seen James walk unflinchingly through fire and media scrutiny that would have melted lesser men.

I have experienced all the highs and lows that come with being married to such a man. Sharing him with the public isn’t always easy, but it has been worth it. The sacrifices our family must make to field a leader on the front lines of have been rewarded by the friendships we have made along the way.

I have had the good fortune over the years of being able to meet at various conferences and events a great number of people who make up the listening audience. Many of you have profoundly impacted our lives for the better. James always refers to you as part of our family and I want you to know that I believe that with all of my heart.

I haven’t been out front like James has, but I do feel part of the story. While I tend to domestic duties, James fights for us all. But none of it is possible without the assistance of TPC’s donors.

Now, on the cusp of his 40th birthday, I would like to ask you to please continue to support his life’s work. Knowing James better than anyone, I can promise you that he will never let you down. He is relentless in his pursuits.

The past 20 years of my life have been unforgettable. I am thankful for the role you continue to play, both in our family and in the success of the radio program. Thank you again for your consideration. As always, he has put together a package of gifts for those generous enough to respond.

Sincerely,

Dani Edwards
