JOHN,

Florida’s Attorney General James Uthmeier is trying to eliminate key protections for people with disabilities.

We're asking you to sign our petition today to let AG Uthmeier know that we stand for the freedoms and equality of ALL Floridians.

For over 50 years, Section 504 has ensured that people with disabilities can live, learn, and work with dignity. But now Uthmeier has joined Texas v. Becerra, a dangerous lawsuit that could completely eliminate Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act—the law that ensures Floridians with disabilities can access education, healthcare, and jobs without discrimination.

If this lawsuit succeeds, students with disabilities could lose their right to accommodations in school, disabled workers could face discrimination with no legal recourse, and seniors and residents with disabilities could be deprived of accessible medical care.

Florida should be expanding access and opportunities—not leading efforts to roll back hard-won rights.

We’re calling on Attorney General Uthmeier to drop this lawsuit and protect the rights of disabled Floridians. Will you add your name to demand that Florida withdraw from this attack on disability rights?
