Dear John,
Transgenderism in America is out of control. But has the battle against it hit the turning point?
There are signs that it has. But first, let's reflect on some good news—the impact that we’ve made together.
Pro-transgender laws were being passed in lots of states, with essentially no effective opposition. Nearly 20 states had even banned any counseling that would help a minor overcome unwanted transgender (or homosexual) feelings or identity. And most conservative politicians wanted nothing to do with addressing these kinds of issues.
But since 2017, your FPA team has been working nonstop to train state legislators and equip our allied state organizations to protect tens of thousands of vulnerable kids—with more in process! In fact, 24 states now keep boys out of girls' sports, and another 24 protect kids from the harm of sterilizing and mutilating "gender transition" drugs and surgeries!
My friend, all of this is major progress over the last eight years—and you helped make it happen. But the battle is hardly over. In fact, it's ramping up in a huge way, and the next few months could decide which way it tips.
Urgent Needs Everywhere:
- Defining the sexes. Our founders never would have thought it necessary, but it’s critical that we define male and female in state law to combat the Left’s attempts to use the courts and bureaucrats to expand transgenderism. This may be the bill that the Left hates the most based on the response in the six states where it has already passed.
- Helping the victims. Many who go down the path of drugs and surgeries to change their bodies come to regret it—and they can’t be abandoned. The “Detransitioners Bill of Rights” protects their right to corrective action—medically and legally.
- Protecting parents. In blue and red states, there are nightmare stories of parents who have lost custody of their children simply for raising them according to their biological sex. The “Defining Abuse Child Protection Act” stops such injustices!
John, I need your help. This battle is huge, and it’s in nearly every state. In addition to your prayers and speaking up, my team needs significant resources for testifying in state capitals, training state legislators, equipping allied state groups, informing and mobilizing citizens and more.
Together, we’ve accomplished much, but this fight—for our kids and their very future—still hangs in the balance. Please stand with us today.
For our kids and our nation,
