John, the next time a mass shooting happens, remember: Trump made it easier. That is not an exaggeration. The far-right and Trump will try to erase their responsibility but OUR blood is on THEIR hands.
Trump signed an executive order last Friday that seeks to UNDO all the progress we’ve made in the last 4 years. This is beyond messed up, it’s DANGEROUS.
The order states that within 30 days the Attorney General must scour every inch of the federal government for ANY order, regulation, rule, guidance, or plan that would “infringe on the second amendment." We know what that means. Put everything that keeps us safe from being shot on the chopping block. In less than 30 days, we will be less safe than we are today.
This is all to “protect the Second Amendment rights of all Americans.” What about our right to NOT BE SHOT?
We know it’s discouraging to feel like we’re fighting JUST to keep the progress that we’ve already made but it’s critical that we don’t look away and we don’t give up. We have to fight this order.
MAGA wants us disengaged and discouraged. That’s how they will bulldoze right over our rights.
