We are pleased to let you know about a local screening of the new documentary "There Is Another Way" on March 23rd at the Miracle Theatre. This documentary is a follow-up to the award-winning film "Disturbing the Peace" (2016), which is about questioning the narrative we are born into. "There is Another Way," which follows some of our colleagues at Combatants for Peace, is about choosing our future. It takes courage to walk a path even when you yourself feel overwhelmed and afraid—a path where you don’t know the final answer, only that it will emerge from standing in the grief of what we, as humanity, have experienced and created and find yourself unable to turn away.

 

In addition to the screening, the Miracle Theatre will host a panel conversation with filmmaker Stephen Apkon and Combatants for Peace members Iris Gur and Mai Shahin. This event will take place at the Miracle Theatre (535 8th St SE, Washington, DC 20003) on Sunday, March 23, at 7:00pm.
