What’s happening right now in Congress, with Trump’s guidance from the
White House, is decades in the making: GOP cuts to Medicaid, Medicare and
Social Security.
Last night, House Republicans voted to gut Medicaid — which 80 million
people rely on for health care. Passage of the House budget resolution
came after Trump worked the phones to get wavering Republicans in line.^1
Unless Congress hears from their constituents (including many who will
lose Medicaid because of these cuts), our leaders will destroy Medicaid
and pass another round of trillions in tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy.
