up to Republicans’ shameful budget—a budget that guts Medicaid, snatches
food from families’ tables, and sells out our future for billionaire tax

America. Over 110,000 people in my district rely on Medicaid—but this
fight isn’t just about Western Pennsylvania. It’s about all of us. The
GOP’s plan will gut $880 billion from Medicaid nationwide, pushing
families into poverty and shuttering hospitals, especially in rural
communities.
Think about it: Over 40% of all births in the US were covered by Medicaid
last year. This budget would force maternity wards to close. It would
leave newborns without care. It would force families to choose between
medical bills and groceries.
And it doesn’t stop there. Republicans are coming for SNAP—the largest and
most effective nutrition program in the country. Families nationwide are
at risk of going hungry while billionaires pocket more tax breaks.
We’re at a crossroads. The question isn’t whether Republicans will try to
rob our communities—they already are. The question is whether we will
fight back.
