New York Times: House Passes G.O.P. Budget Teeing Up Enormous Tax and Spending Cuts

Yesterday, House Republicans voted to pass a fiscally reckless budget resolution that would balloon the deficit and include massive cuts to health care.

These cuts would rip healthcare away from millions of Americans including kids, seniors, and people with disabilities—all to saddle us with debt to pay for big tax giveaways for the ultra-rich.

It’s fiscal insanity. It’s a bullsh*t plan. And I voted NO.

This is a betrayal to hardworking Americans, and I will never support a budget that asks my constituents to eat a crap sandwich just so huge billionaires can take even more.

This is far from the last attack we will see from House Republicans. That’s why I’ll continue to use my voice in Congress to fight for the values that matter to us most.
