At the beginning of each month we set specific fundraising goals to reach in order to support our candidates, pay our staff, run digital ads, organize volunteers, and more. This month, we aimed to raise $175,000.

But after looking over the numbers these last few days, it’s become clear that we’re not going to reach that $175,000 goal. We want to keep you fully informed of what’s going on so today we’re sharing that we’re officially lowering our May fundraising goal to $155,909.

$155,909 is the exact amount we absolutely have to raise this month — it’s critical that we reach this new lowered goal.

We need to raise $27,001 before midnight on the 31st in order to reach this goal. If you can afford it, will you contribute $3 to help us reach this new goal? We wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important.

Look, we’re not going to send you any terrifying, DCCC-style “the sky is falling” emails. There is no reason to kiss all hope goodbye. And we don’t have any generous donors to QUADRUPLE MATCH your donation.

But, we will politely ask you to contribute if you can afford it, so we can keep our work going and keep providing critical organizing help and other campaign services to our Justice Democrats running for office.
