In New York's 15th Congressional District, the incumbent Democrat is not seeking re-election. We need a strong, upstanding leader to replace him. I'm proud to endorse Michael Blake for the job.

Raised primarily by a single mother who was once homeless, Michael knows what sacrifice means. But no matter how little or how much he's had, Michael has made service to his community a top priority: from volunteering at his church, organizing his community, to now serving as the assemblyman for New York's 79th State District.

I am confident that Michael will be a great congressman. As an aide to President Obama, Michael was part of the team that passed the Affordable Care Act, an economic stimulus package that ended the Great Recession, and a student loan bill that lowered the cost of attending college.
