I’ll be honest with you, folks.

I’m all in for maximizing government efficiency. I even passed a law that got more transparency into how much we’re spending (it’s the reason Elon Musk can keep tweeting out screenshots and spreadsheets from USAspending!)

But I’m dog-tired of the DOGE bros using “government efficiency” as a smokescreen. Let’s call it what it is: a lawless attempt by the billionaire co-president to illegally gut the federal government services Americans rely on.

I mean, blanket layoffs at the Federal Aviation Administration mere weeks after the deadly midair collision over Washington, D.C?! What a reckless development. Let’s not forget that the folks that literally safeguard our nuclear arsenal were also let go. Or that the Trump administration laid off the IRS employees making sure YOU get your tax refund.

Right now, DOGE bros are sifting through your personal data and tampering with Treasury Payments. They have no understanding of how money flows. These are college-aged software engineers who don’t know what they’re doing, yet we don’t have transparency on who they are or how much control they have over our information.

Oh, did you know about all the federal agencies with investigations into or regulatory battles with Elon Musk? Well, Trump’s firings line up suspiciously nicely with the agencies with oversight of Musk’s companies.

Look, count me in for slashing government waste. I’m all for it. But taking a hatchet to all federal funding, to agencies that save Americans money, to critical medical grants… that just creates chaos and disorder. There’s nothing efficient about it.

I am doing everything in my power to stop Trump and his unelected co-president from overhauling the federal government so they can enrich themselves while leaving the American people in the dust. But that makes me one of their top targets.

So I’m asking: will you pitch in to support my re-election campaign so I can keep leading the fight to hold Trump and Musk accountable?
