Voters want Democrats to be doing more, more, more ([link removed])

Right now, Democratic voters want to see their leaders in the ring on primetime. But it’s starting to feel a lot more like a lopsided fight behind the pay-per-view (or, in this case, CSPAN).

In our new poll, we find that ([link removed]) a majority of Democratic voters (65%), and an even larger majority of Independents who lean Democratic (80%), say the party is not doing enough and needs to fight harder against the Trump administration. And we don’t think more sternly-worded letters are going to improve that number.

[link removed]

One challenge for Democrats? Trump won over people who don’t pay attention ([link removed]) to political news — and Democrats need to show these voters that they are energized and ready to fight for them. Maybe set up a cage match between Hakeem Jeffries and Jake Paul? A Democratic town hall blitz with a Taylor-Swift-tour-level of intensity? Just some ideas.

Here are some other highlights from DFP this week:

Elongated muskrat

Do you want to signal to all your neighbors that you’re the biggest loser on the block? Have you been dreaming about a vehicle that can pinch your finger in half like a limp carrot ([link removed]) ? Ever wondered what it would be like to drive something that looks like a child’s poorly-drawn illustration of a car? Have you considered… a Tesla Cybertruck?

We truly hate to remind you, but the guy who’s incapable of designing a car that's actually driveable in the snow ([link removed]) is basically running the entire federal government right now. And much like that bad Cybertruck driver who keeps double-parking at your local Target, his presence has become a regular annoyance in our daily lives.

We find ([link removed]) that Elon Musk currently has a -8-point approval rating with likely voters, with Independents viewing him unfavorably by a -14-point margin.

When we asked if Musk’s actions have made them more or less likely to buy a Tesla, 45% say they are less likely, while only 17% say that they are more likely to purchase one.

[link removed]

For all of you in that 45%, we’d suggest egging every Tesla car you see, but we also know you aren’t made of money.

32 Days Later

It’s hard to believe that it’s only been one month since Trump’s inauguration — and since it’s a Friday, we’ll excuse you if you have to make yourself a very strong drink after reading that sentence.

So far, we’ve found that voters strongly oppose Trump’s calls for illegal land takeovers ([link removed]) , the influence of billionaires ([link removed]) in his administration, and many of his executive orders ([link removed]) .

In new polling ([link removed]) , we find that voters also oppose removing mentions of "climate change" from government websites and freezing all activities related to MLK Jr. Day and Black History Month, as well as shutting down the Spanish-language version of the White House website.

[link removed]

Since taking office, Trump’s approval rating has been trending downward ([link removed]) faster than you can say “long live the king!” We’d say it’s the worst honeymoon ever — but that would be an insult to what Melania probably had to endure.
