Republicans are showing their true colors. Late last night, they moved forward their cruel agenda. And their biggest goal: a billionaire tax break paid for by cutting working Americans’ healthcare.

 

They want to take a hacksaw to Medicaid, which 224,884 of our neighbors in California’s 39th Congressional District rely on.

 

All to fund a multi-trillion-dollar tax cut for billionaires. 

Their budget blueprint will cut veteran care services, eliminate health care for those who need it, and gut social security.

 

I spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives to express my anger and convey what I have been hearing from you.

I want to be clear: I voted NO on this Republican Rip-Off. 

 

But I urge you to keep up the pressure on Members of Congress who voted for this terrible, awful, no-good budget.  

 

Your voice makes a difference. In these first months of the Trump Administration, we have seen them back down as soon as public opinion turns, or the economy responds to tariffs that’d raise the cost of everyday goods.
